What We Do

Since 1950, KHBC has existed to bring the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ, to the native youth of Alaska.

Our Mission

In a nutshell our mission is stated in Matthew 28:18-20

"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”

Kokrine Hills Bible Camp is exactly that: a Bible Camp! The ultimate goal of KHBC is to see God glorified as students come to salvation in Jesus Christ and grow in the knowledge of Him. Therefore we preach God’s Word to those attending camp for 2 Timothy 3:15-17 says, "and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."

While the Word of God is our priority, we believe that you do not have to sacrifice fun in order to have sound, biblical teaching. Just to make sure of that, we load up the week with intense team games designed to build lifelong friendships. When folks leave camp we hope they continue in Biblical discipleship relationships to encourage, counsel, pray for, help, and admonish one another to become more Christ like.
